Those we work with

International Health Partners brings together for the first time in Europe, the pharmaceutical industry, the medical community, aid organisations, government, concerned individuals and a range of firms, businesses and trusts in a partnership for delivering donated medicines to the poorest parts of the world

IHP brings together

  • UK-based pharmaceutical and medical supplies companies (members of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, Association of British Health-Care Industries, British Association of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, British Generics Manufacturers Association and Proprietary Association of Great Britain). IHP will act as a distribution channel for donated, quality, in-date products. Donating in-date healthcare supplies safely provides companies with an important opportunity to enhance their corporate social responsibility programmes.
  • UK doctors, pharmacists and healthcare professionals who are working overseas and their governing associations (e.g. Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, British Medical Association, General Medical Council, National Pharmacy Association, Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, a number of the Royal Colleges, Christian Medical Fellowship members, etc). IHP will act as a "one-stop-shop" able to handle the hundreds of requests each year from medical relief and development professionals requesting donated drugs for distribution overseas.
  • Non-government organisations (NGOs) working overseas. IHP seeks to bring together accredited NGOs and other healthcare distributors to work strategically and co-operatively, and to equip NGOs with essential medicines and medical supplies.
  • Government & International Agencies IHP aims to work with governments and international aid agencies to enable the delivery of sustainable healthcare programmes supporting the UN agreed Millennium Development Goals. A number of departments across the UK government are involved with IHP inputting to the development of its strategy.
  • Individuals, Foundations and Trusts Funds donated by interested individuals, foundations and trusts will be utilised by IHP in the coordinated effort to distribute donated medical supplies. Each pound donated for IHP’s intermediary function will result in £10 - £15 of essential healthcare supplies for the developing world.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility Partners IHP is working with a number of core partners, leaders in their areas of expertise, who are donating their experience and skills to provide IHP with key Services in Kind. This enables employees and management teams in a range of allied service areas to become directly involved in providing healthcare to the poor in need in the Developing World; their donations relieve IHP of the need to fund raise to meet many core operating costs.

IHP’s Foundation Partners

A number of our stakeholders also have committed to donate financially to help underwrite some of the core operational costs of IHP in addition to donating their services or products.
