How you can donate medical supplies |

International Health Partners is liaising with the local governments, healthcare professionals and programme managers on the ground to ensure that only those medicines and medical supplies that are actually needed are delivered. To source needed products, IHP is working with the members of the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry, Association of British HealthCare Industries, British Association of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, British Generic Manufacturers Association, Ethical Medicines Industry Group and the Proprietary Association of Great Britain. With different local needs and limited transportation and warehousing arrangements it is essential that the most needed supplies are sent to where they are needed, when they are required. IHP will be working primarily with large NGOs, the WHO and national Governments in the early weeks to source large volumes of the most urgently needed essential medicines. The following Guidelines for donations apply to all donations either from companies or healthcare professionals: Guidelines for donations IHP subscribes to the WHO's guidelines for donated medicines and healthcare supplies and Red Cross Protocols. In addition IHP will ensure that any proposed donation of medicines receives
the approval of the in-country receiving agency that will be distributing
and using the medicines and/or supplies. |
