Myanmar cyclone - August 2008

IHP has coordinated the donation of medicines from 36 companies in the UK following the Myanmar cyclone. Between May and August of 2008, IHP sent 76 Doctors Travel Packs and bulk donations of key requested essential medicines to support the international relief teams working across the Ayeyarwady Delta. In total over £1m of medicines were sent. IHP worked principally through Merlin, World Emergency Relief and ADRA to manage the main shipments but also supported doctors from the Myammar Medical Association working in 7 camps in the affected areas.
