HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY

Companies from the breadth of the industry work through IHP to support the needy

Vital Support

Without the continuing support of the healthcare industry, IHP would be able to achieve very little - all of the items that we supply to medical charities are donated by the industry. We work with over 170 companies from all sectors of the industry including branded, generic, nutriments, over-the-counter, wholesale and retail, and we also enjoy the support of the trade and professional bodies including ABPI, BGMA, IFPMA, IFPW, PAGB and BAPW.

Outsourced CSR

As a result of the many partnerships that we have with medical NGOs and healthcare professionals, IHP provides an opportunity for companies to outsource their drug donation programmes, and to complement existing corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

Access to medicine is a key plank of the global healthcare industry's manifesto, and carefully considered product donation programmes have an important art to play (amongst a suite of tools) in improving access to medicine.

IHP's Doctor's Travel Pack Programme enables companies to support doctors as they undertake their voluntary/philanthropic services overseas  in a way that fully complies with the ABPI strict codes of practice.

A number of companies are now working with IHP to enable the skills and experience of their staff to be used, using modern technology, to mentor, tutor and train their counterparts working in the health systems of the developing world.  Programmes are now underway providing mentoring in bio-medical repairs and maintenance, pharmacy and quality assurance services, warehousing and supply chain management.
