Our services

International Health Partners is dedicated to providing quality, in-date donated medicines and medical supplies for distribution in the developing world.

We are able to work in partnership with individual health professionals working overseas, coordinated disaster relief efforts, small accredited non-governmental organisations and charities providing humanitarian aid. IHP also assists in larger projects such as medical centres and hospitals, and with overseas governments' initiatives. Working with the UK pharmaceutical and medical supplies industries, we aim to source donations of the most needed medical aid, and to organise secure delivery from donor to destination.

Working with our partners, IHP became fully operational during the first six months of 2005. Operations began in December 2004 with a 2000 kg shipment of vitamins to Afghanistan.  So far in 2005 IHP has co-ordinated the delivery of over £3.5m of donated medicines and medical supplies to tsunami-struck areas, and the provision of avian flu vaccines for shipment to the Far East.

Travel packs

Hand-held boxes of donated medicines and medical supplies designed for health professionals and aid workers travelling to the developing world, as well as small charities and programmes of aid. Each pack contains sufficient essential primary healthcare supplies to treat 1,000 people.

Special projects

The provision of donated medicines and medical supplies to larger projects, delivered through medical centres, hospitals or other local accredited healthcare agencies, operating within a locally agreed strategic programme of healthcare provision.  The development of medium-term strategic support programmes for those organising and delivering health care in the developing world.

Disaster relief and humanitarian shipments

The sourcing and shipment of donated medical supplies to members of the Disaster Emergency Committee, and the support of smaller aid initiatives that complement the national and international aid effort.
