IHP Travel pack Terms and Conditions

• All Travel Packs (TPs) must be used outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and only in developing countries for humanitarian purposes to provide treatment free of charge to the poor and suffering without discrimination as to race, religion, age or gender. TPs must only be used for the purposes set out in the application.
• The medicines and medical supplies must not be used in, marketed in or returned to the EEA and must not be sold or exchanged for property or services or other financial gain anywhere in the world.
• The medicines and medical supplies must be handled securely and only licensed healthcare practitioners may dispense the medicines in the country of destination.
• The medicines and medical supplies must not be used to support terrorist activities or organisations linked to terrorism anywhere in the world.
• It is the applicant's responsibility to make recipient doctors, hospitals and/or clinics overseas aware of this imminent donation.
• The applicant confirms that they understand the specific health needs in the country of destination and that the primary care medicines included in the TP respond to these needs.
• The applicant must promptly advise IHP of any loss, diversion or misuse of the donated medicines.
• Applicants must ensure that compliance with the destination country's procedures for clearing the donated medicines through customs has been arranged. IHP is not responsible for foreign custom charges or taxes. Applicants may find it helpful to contact a country's High Commission or Embassy in order to establish issues surrounding the transport of medicines across borders. It is suggested that applicants also contact the relevant airline to see if luggage fees will be waived for humanitarian aid.
• TPs contain prescription medicines, which may only be handled by those persons qualified to do so. IHP's TPs are therefore sealed, and have accompanying documentation to facilitate customs clearance both in the UK and overseas. TPs should not be opened (except where required by law or customs authorities) until they reach their final destination.
• IHP must be informed promptly as to whether or not the medicines have arrived safely at their final destination. The document entitled "Confirmation of Safe Arrival", included with your shipping documents, must be completed upon arrival of the medicines at the final destination and returned immediately to IHP.
• IHP requires a written report of your trip within 30 days of your return to the UK or completion of your Project and values your comments on the usefulness of the medicines. The "Project Report" form is included with the TP's shipping documents. Photos for your trip are encouraged and may be used for promotional purposes. Reports provide essential feedback to IHP and the industry donors.
• The Applicant must advise IHP promptly of any change of destination and/or distribution plan. Any change in the date of departure should be promptly communicated to IHP for further instruction. IHP reserves the right to require the return or safe destruction of the TP at the applicant's expense should such changes be unacceptable to IHP.
• The World Health Organisation (WHO) Guidelines for Drug Donations stipulate that donated medicines must be used before the expiry date. The Applicant must ensure that the donated medicines will be distributed and used before expiry. If not, the Applicant undertakes to destroy the expired medicines in an environmentally safe manner.
• International Health Partners reserves the right to do a field audit with or without notice, to confirm the integrity of this donation.

• Any acceptance by IHP of a request for donated product will not amount to a contract or any other legally enforceable obligation between IHP and the Applicant or Carrier ("the Applicant/Carrier") requesting such product.
• IHP will in good faith use reasonable endeavours to provide agreed donated product to the Applicant/Carrier according to agreed timescales, but IHP accepts no responsibility for late or failed delivery.
• IHP obtains donated product in good faith from reputable sources but accepts no legal responsibility of any kind for such product or its use. This includes (but without limitation) the quality, effectiveness, date of time expiry, appropriateness for use and/or method of use of donated product or for any damage or loss that may arise in storage or transit or for any personal injury that may arise out of use or misuse of donated product. The Applicant/Carrier accepts and agrees that it is the Applicant/Carrier's responsibility to ensure that donated product is not out of date or damaged and for the suitability and method of its use in accordance with sound medical practice.
• The Applicant/Carrier waives all claims it may have against IHP in respect of any of the above-mentioned matters.

We have read, understood and agree with the Terms and Conditions outlined above and have read and accept the terms of the "Important Notice" above.
