How will my donation be used? Expand When you give £1, this enables us to send three treatments to a vulnerable or disaster-hit community. On a daily basis, this constitutes a range of tasks to co-ordinate and deliver donations, including: Building and maintaining partnerships with a range of European healthcare companies who will donate medicines and medical supplies Establishing and maintaining partnerships with NGOs and others, so that we can meet their needs to obtain quality medicines Arranging the logistics of moving, warehousing and shipping medicines overseas within a regulated environment Communicating our aims, demonstrating our impact, and raising the means to sustain our work
What good do medicine donations do? Expand When our partner NGOs and health services use the donated medicines we send, they can dramatically reduce their costs. This, in turn, enables them to extend medical treatment to thousands of people who could otherwise not get access to this. Our work saves our partners some £10 million every year.
Why support International Health Partners? Expand Our model of using donated medicines is very cost-efficient. For every £1 of income we receive, we supply an average of £14 worth of medicine. Since 2015, we have shipped more than 8.2 million treatments to people who lack access to medicines. These products, sent to 50 countries, were worth more than £34.5 million (NHS equivalent value). Our partnerships with European pharmaceutical companies allow us to source a broad range of medicines and to respond quickly to a variety of needs.
