Are there any fees? Expand Yes, a small fee is usually applied. Your employer will use a payroll giving agency to collect and distribute your donation to cover its operating costs. Some employers will offer to cover this fee s that IHP receive the full donation amount. If this is not the case, typically 2-4% of your donation will be deducted.
Can I give through my pension? Expand Yes, you can. If you receive an occupational pension and your pension provider deducts tax through the PAYE system, you are still eligible for the scheme. Simply ask your occupational pension provider to make a donation from your pension before tax has been deducted.
Can I stop donating or change the amount? Expand Yes, you can do this at any time. All you need to do is notify your payroll/HR department.
Is there a minimum amount I can donate? Expand No, you can give as much or as little as you like. We do recommend that you give at least £5 per month
What if I change jobs? Expand Your payroll giving donation will stop as soon as you leave your job. You will be able to set up your donation again at your new employer by simply contacting your new payroll/HR department.
When will my first donation be deducted? Expand Your first donation should be made the next payday after you set up your payroll giving. However, this is dependent on whether you set up your pay roll giving before your employer’s payroll has been processed. If not, you will make your first donation on the following payday.
