The Global Generics and Biosimilars (GGB) Awards – Spotlighting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

International Health Partners have proudly sponsored the CSR Initiative of the Year Award at the Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards. We are delighted to be doing so again to celebrate the awards 10th anniversary

It’s the 10th anniversary of the Global Generics and Biosimilars Awards celebrating the achievements of global off-patent pharmaceuticals.

Co-locating with CPhi Worldwide in Barcelona, the awards are an opportunity for the industry to come together and shine a light on the companies and individuals driving positive change. Winners will be recognised across 14 categories including the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the year which is supported by IHP.

CSR has become increasingly important as employees and customers attitudes have shifted and expectations of corporate responsibility have increased. CSR strategies are necessary to attract investors, play a part as global citizens and retain staff. The global disparity of access to medicines is continuing to grow and companies have been working in partnership to improve access to medicines for those most in need.

The collaborative effort of improving global access to medicines is what we at IHP partake in on a daily basis. And it is this effort that we recognise with the CSR Initiative Award. The award gives the spotlight to members of the pharmaceutical industry who are investing in providing access to medicines to vulnerable communities. Entries could include: a company approach to CSR, implementation, engagement plans, raining & education programmes, compulsory licensing and humanitarian aid donations. We welcome entrants with an initiative that collaborates with the local community to make long-term changes. An initiative with direct and positive impacts which are already clearly visible.
