The Global Generics and Biosimilars (GGB) Awards – Spotlighting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

International Health Partners have proudly sponsored the CSR Initiative of the Year Award at the Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards for the last eight years.

Over this time, we have seen social responsibility take centre stage in the eyes of the world. Employee welfare, the climate crisis, and social issues affecting supply chains have been important topics for the pharmaceutical industry. The global disparity of access to medicines has been made evident over the past two years in particular. Companies, both big and small, have been working together to improve access to their medicines for those most in need. This endeavour has been collaborative and well-intentioned. More importantly, it has been built upon a stable foundation of best practice. The collaborative effort of improving global access to medicines is what we at IHP partake in on a daily basis. And it is this effort that we recognise with the CSR Initiative Award.

The CSR Initiative of the Year Award is a way to give the spotlight to members of the pharmaceutical industry who are investing in providing access to medicines to vulnerable communities. We welcome entrants with an initiative that collaborates with the local community to make long term changes. An initiative with direct and positive impacts which are already clearly visible.

When entering this award category, consider how the following questions apply to your initiative:

  • Does the programme identify a need and a solution?
  • Does it have key performance indicators to measure success?
  • Does the programme look to make a lasting impact (for example, training a community to overcome this problem in the future)?
  • Do the results match the original objectives?

For more information on how to enter, please visit the awards website. Don’t forget, entries close on 19th August!
